FAQ
Do you do walk-ins?
It depends! I usually try to book myself ahead of time, but things happen and sometimes I have ancellations that I would love to fill. These are posted on my Instagram stories and are filled on a first some first serve basis, and are at a discounted rate.
How do I make an appt?
My booking forms can found on my tattoo page. I book by the city, as well as having a form for people planning on traveling from out of state for an appointment. You must be 18 years of age and have government issued ID to make an appt, and a $100 nonrefundable deposit is required to save your appointment time.
Do you do consultations?
Absolutely!!! I totally understand being unsure and wanting to talk through your ideas. If you want a little more guidance on what you want and where, I am always happy to help. Email me and I will set up a consultation for you, they are ususally about 30min, and are free.
What should I expect at an appointment?
When you arrive we will sit down and look at your art. I do not send my art ahead of time, we will then make any adjustments on the spot and place the stencil on the body. Please feel free to speak up if you dislike any portion of your tattoo or placement. This is pemanent, and I want you to love it forever!
How do deposits work?
A deposit is a set amount of money your artist requires to book the tattoo. Deposits are non-refundable and come off the price of your final tattoo session.
Your deposit may be forfeited if:
-You change the details of the tattoo agreed upon during the consultation.
-You reschedule or cancel your appt in less than 48 hours before your appt or simply don’t show up.
-You reschedule more than twice.
How do I prepare for my tattoo appt?
There are several things you can do to prepare for your tattoo appt!
Make sure your medications won’t effect the tattoo or healing process.
Check with your doctor and research if your conditions and medications may adversely effect your tattoo and/or healing and be sure to thoroughly communicate that with your artist prior to the tattoo appt.
Avoid alcohol the night before.
Not only can alcohol thin your blood for over 24 hours, but tattooing is hard on your body and so it really does suck a little more to get tattooed if you’re not feeling your best.
Eat beforehand and drink water!
It’s essential that you eat a good meal or snack roughly an hour or two before you get tattooed. Eating meals high in protein before and after your appointment can really help fuel your body with good energy, and make it easier for your body to deal with the discomfort. I also reccommend hydrating before and during your appointment. If you do not eat you are risking lightheadedness and nausea. During long tattoo appts, we all take breaks, so please feel free to bring a snack and a drink.
Wear the appropriate clothing.
It’s important that what you wear to the tattoo appointment is not only comfortable, but allows easy and total access to the area getting tattooed. Sometimes you might feel a little chilly while getting tattooed, so please feel free to bring a clean throw blanket.
What else can I do to prepare?
Bring what you need to your appointment to sooth and comfort yourself, especially for long appointments. This can include snacks, a blanket, a device to watch a show on, headphones, a book, sunglasses (this one may seem funny but I use large ring lights and a headlamp)
How do I pay for my tattoo?
I always prefer cash, but also take venmo and othe forms of payments, excluding credit cards.
